Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Base Salary – $50,000 – $65,000, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
As a payroll staff accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients by managing their payroll needs with accuracy and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collect and review employee hours, pay rates, and payroll-related information from clients
- Set up new employees in payroll systems and maintain accurate records
- Process payroll and generate payroll reports for clients
- Assist with workers’ compensation audits and payroll compliance matters
- Utilize payroll and accounting software to input, verify, and analyze data
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through reliable service and consistent communication
- Calculate and process payroll taxes using client-provided data
- Stay informed on federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Support year-end payroll processes and audits as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email
- Perform administrative and other accounting-related duties as assigned
- Follow firm policies, procedures, and best practices in all work performed
Requirements:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who enjoys working with clients and thrives in a team environment.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in one of the following roles:
- Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Payroll Accountant, Payroll Specialist, Business Services Accountant, Accounting Administrator, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or at least 5 years of payroll experience
- Strong commitment to client confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to handle, resolve, or appropriately escalate client issues
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
- Positive attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment both independently and as part of a team
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and accounting software
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
